Even if I do not have my own business now and do not build a political career, I am still interested in learning how to negotiate. Firstly, who knows how my life turns in the future, it is possible that very soon this skill will come in handy. Secondly, negotiation skills can also used during the job interview with the potential employer, and helping to get he dream job or etc. The skills and techniques offered in that guide are very detailed and easy to implement and can be effectively applied in so many situations.
This book really changed my approach and outlook to getting what I want in life. It's also a great read with plenty of stories and examples and bit of a sense of humor. I strongly recommend this book. It's applicable to getting better pay at work, getting items off of your credit report, getting a hotel room, and any other applications you can fathom. Glad to read from an author w/ actual experience instead of just reading a book on theory.I would recommend this book to anyone going into a negotiating role.
This s a great book on negotiation, and it really changed my thinking about the topic. As someone that the author would describe as overly cooperative, I found that the book made negotiation seem approachable and doable by me. Most of the topics in the book seem like they're pretty obvious in hindsight, but they were new to me. In particular, the book emphasizes that anyone can bargain well by being themselves; you don't need to be competitive or manipulative to succeed.
