The Power of Scrum, In the Real World, For the Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner Reviews
This is a great succinct overview of scrum. It's a quick read and all you need to get started and implement scrum. The bad part is the book itself, the cover has a big low resolution image and the text in the book is large and in a font that is not very appealing, it's hard to take the book seriously when the presentation is so bad. However if you look past the cover and read it you'll find some great insights.
Scrum is based on empirical process control theory. The principles of scrum are simple to understand but the real challenge comes when helping others to understand and trust such a simple framework to deliver quality products, maximize return on investment. The author has done a great job providing the appropriate help as well as the techniques to understand scrum.
This book provides a comprehensive review of the Scrum methodology. The book is filled with usable information and is easy to follow.
When needing to get back up to speed on SCRUM I have always grabbed a book, but discovering there is an audiobook for this now is fantastic. This is a no nonsense guide to SCRUM that gets to the point and suggests best practices. If you need to be ready to understand the concepts and utilize them rapidly this book will allow you to understand how the technical terms are used and the author takes you through the process rapidly. This no fluff approach makes this book information instantly transferable to whatever project you’re working on. I recommend this as a valuable read and listen!
